An AMA session by QLIP with the CEO of Qlip “Karla Obakpolor” also known as KarlaGod, a music artiste and also a Business Developer on the Teach crypto telegram community which held on the 8th of July 2021, 6pm GMT

This is a recap for those who missed the AMA session and here are some questions asked during the session

How do you tend to integrate defi with the platform and the society, and how do you tend to win customers over other competitors by Adeleye

DeFi is possible with 2 major features or players, Assets & Liquidity Some NFTs are already assets, they hold a lot of value, later in the future of QLIP, our Collectibles will grow to the point where they command a lot of value and can be locked, staked or collaterized by holders to earn $QLP tokens or borrow a Stable coin.
Another aspect is, NFTs are more than just art, they’re also the tokenization of real world assets. As the NFT adoption in Africa grows, we’d find that real world assets can be Tokenized and used in acquiring finance products via our platform.

The second question, about winning customers?
We understand that, if you provide value, users will follow and One of the value we don’t see populated in the NFT space is “Utility”. It’s fine to have NFTs that are aesthetic and hold sentimental values for the collectors, but there are other aspects of Utility that can be integrated in NFTs and that’s one of the things we’re bringing, for example, one of my favorite Nigerian artists is 2face, I would love that, having 2 Baba’s NFT can hive me VIP access to his next concert or listening party or merchandise etc.

If an artist upload himself on the $qlip market place then after some years, how will the #nft been monetize that is will he find who will buy it or how can he make profits from that? by by Engr Latsan

This is one of the many reasons, NFT is a huge opportunity for artists. The Blockchain Technology makes it possible that royalties that are for life can be set in lines of code in the Blockchain and Artists minting their art can set their account to receive 10% or more royalties on that NFT that they mint. Such that when it’s resold in the secondary market, the get 10% off the price that it was sold.

Does @Qlip_it have a function on their site or a platform to support amateur artists on their NFT market place?
What category of NFTs is @Qlip_it looking to pay more attention to?

Yes we do!
We have a hand book that we’d release for newbies in the NFT industry to guide them.
A lot of artist come into the NFT space with the intention to pull a “beeple stunt”, but most don’t realise it took a process😊
The guide will help artists understand the process to making sales and not losing the vitality of your artistry in the whole journey.

After our IDO most definitely in August. We’re building our v.1.0 and right now we’ve started taking Registrations for Community testing and we want such that we’re launching our token with a ready product so you just don’t have tokens and no platform for users to actually use.

So you just don’t have tokens and no platform for users to actually use.

How secured are the NFTs on your market place? @Qlip_it #qlip by Mofiyin

So, one of the reasons some NFT Platforms have issues with security for their NFTs is because of storage, where they store their NFT.
Some store their NFTs in centralized storages and we know the kind of problems that can come with that.
We’re not using centralized storage platforms for QLIP, we’re using decentralized storage platforms which provides more security and In one of the events we had with our CTO, “THE TECH BEHIND NFTS” we explained this to the community and it was recorded which will be shared soon as we have it uploaded on our podcast.

Does Qlipit have any specific target audience within the African Populace? by Hkay

Not at the moment, we’re more concerned about the quality of art and Utility attached and At the moment, we’re organizing a meet up for the Kenyan Art Community, and from there move to other parts of Africa, we just want to see African artists in the multifaceted aspects succeed.
